A design is only as good as its typography.

Typography is the craft of endowing human language with a durable visual form, and thus with an independent existence.

The wind was a mournful wail as it whipped through the desolate landscape, stirring up dust and debris. The sky was a bleak and unforgiving gray, seeming to mirror the sadness that weighed heavy on the heart of the lone traveler. The road ahead was long and treacherous, with no end in sight. But still, the traveler pressed on, driven by an unshakable determination to reach their destination, no matter the cost. As the journey wore on, the traveler encountered countless hardships, from scorching sun and relentless rain.

The Narrative

The Story of Bespoke Stencil

Bespoke Sans Stencil is family of humanist sans serif fonts that look like stencil letters. Each stroke in the fonts’ letterforms breaks at the place where a writer might pause, if they were written with a broad pen. The underlying structure is similar to the Bespoke Sans fonts. The typeface’s design features large, open counterforms; these hep maximise legibility. The Bespoke Sans Stencil family includes five weights that range from Light through Bold. Each weight has an upright and an italic font on offer. The lowercase ‘a’ and ‘g’ in the upright fonts are double-storied; in the italic fonts, these become single-storied. The fonts’ numerals are proportionally-spaced oldstyle figures that harmonise especially well with the lowercase letters. Bespoke Sans Stencil is an excellent choice for use in branding, corporate communication, or editorial design. The fonts are a real team effort; they were designed by Jeremie Hornus, Theo Guillard, Morgane Pambrun, Alisa Nowak, and Joachim Vu. Together with the Bespoke Sans and Bespoke Serif families, Bespoke Sans Stencil is part of a proper Fontstore series you could call ‘the Bespoke superfamily’.
